Excessive digging

Bioactive

My bearded dragon Basil (18 months of age) lives in a 120 gall zen habitats with a linear T5 UBV bulb, basking lamp, and ceramic heat bulb for extra heat in winter if needed. Her tank is bioactive and has been this way for a while, when she was a baby I had her on paper towels but when I felt she was old enough I upgraded her tank to this one. But lately I’ve noticed her digging more and more, it’s worrying because I feel she is going to hurt herself as she oftentimes digs under things full submerging her head under the soil. However, it’s weird because it’s not too hot or too cold or anything like that. I wondered if she was gravid but I don’t feel any eggs. In the last two days she feels cold to the touch and I’m planning on bringing her to the vet soon especially if things escalate. This is the first time ive had a problem like this, of course digging and burrowing can be natural but I don’t think this much is normal.

Its possible she is gravid -- that is what it sounds like --- we can have AHBD respond to your post she knows more about these things than I

That is normal behavior but can def. mean she's gravid and you can't always feel eggs. Just be sure she has a nice place to make a good cave, she should be fine.

I think infertile eggs are a lot harder to feel. Both times my girl laid i couldn't feel them at all.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
