Eggs Collapsing

Hi

I have a few bearded dragon eggs that have been in the incubator for about 58 days, my eggs started collapsing about 4 days ago but there is no sign of them hatching.

Does this mean that the babies have died, or that the eggs are infertile?

Try adding more water to the substrate. What is the humidity at?

How are they now? I've had them collapse and take up to a week to pip. Do you see any movement?

Unfortunately all the eggs died! :evil:

I think it might be because of load shedding, can't be sure.

I checked them on a daily basis and no matter what I did, I could not save them.

The Female has now laid new eggs, and you'll see on the board that I'm enquiring about incubators.

I really want this new clutch to hatch.

I sincerely doubt that slight variation in your temps is the culprit. Sounds to me likethe substrate dried out. You have to add water to the vermiculite during the incubation period to keep the eggs from drying out.

Was it your females first time laying? The humidity should have been at 65%-75% to achieve the best results. What substrate were they on?
