Is there a bug repellent that I can use that will be aafe for our bearded dragon? We have a bad problem with mosquitos and ticks and they are supposed to be worse this year. What can we do so we don’t suffer being attacked by these pests.

Hello,

Are you concerned with them getting into the tank or house? Citronella is very natural & highly
effective. You could put up a citronella strip or citronella candle in the general area to help try
& keep them at bay or completely deflect them.

I am not concerned about them getting in the house as that would be very difficult. My worry is if I put bug spray on myself or on my child will that affect my dragon? They do a lot of random licking which I believe is also smelling. I fear that if I were to put it on and she were to lick will she get sick?

Look into Skin-so-Soft, I think it's from Avon. If I remember correctly it's supposed to be none toxic. But fact check me just in case 🙂

Hello,

I would think that as long as the candle would be out of the way of her investigating it wouldn't harm her.
Yes, also the Skin-so-Soft is good for repellent. You could possibly spray it on a few areas surrounding her tank where she can't lick that either. It is non toxic.
I can do some more checking for natural remedies.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
