Breeding requirments

What are the requirements for breeding a female as far as age,weight and length go? I know for age ive heard 1.5 yrs, but im not sure about weight or length. If anyone can help thatd be great. Thanks.

Here are some of my requirements, you can use them as suggestions.

Female
Done growing length wise and over 500 grams.
Be under 700 grams as the heavier ones have issues getting all the eggs out and recovering after laying.
Be proportioned. I won't breed a fat female or a skinny female.
Has good fat pads and a good fat build up in the base of the tail.
Has never had an issue with MBD.

Male
Done growing length wise and over 500 grams.
Has decent fat pads....Some males go off of food for a little bit during breeding season so I want to make sure he can handle that.


Both
Have a good solid muscle/bone structure.
Have been vet checked for parasites
Have recently had blood work ran by a vet to check the organs functionality.
Have never had an issue with food unless for brumation.
Have never had any major medical problems.
Can trace the genetics.


*Disclaimer* this is all I can think of off the top of my head.

There are a couple of other things I keep an eye on. Like number of eggs produced each clutch. When a females egg count starts to diminish she should be retired from breeding. On the other hand as long as the male is willing and heatlhy he can continue to breed.
