Zsa Zsa has settled into life here very good and very quickly.
Her personality changed almost over night when we got here.
She immediately became handleable and dying to get out. I've started taking her outside now and she is all about it.

She looks soo gorgeous under the real sunlight. She also seems curious and like she is developing nicely :)
She actually shows WAY more yellow in the real sun. It kind of surprised me. Under her basking bulb she is extremely orange. And curious doesn't even start to describe her. She wants to get into EVERYTHING lol.

I love the photos of dragons out in the sun, it's great for their health and it's great to see happy dragons. Has she tried jumping down to explore your yard?

Not to hard, she kind of maneuvers around so she can see, but she hasn't tried to get down yet. She is way to fast to let down still anyway. There is no way I could catch her if she started trying to run off.

Yeah, I remember you talking about how fast she is, that's why I asked about her attempts to get down. But your yard looks safe because there's a wall around it. Maybe you should keep her favorite bugs on hand, just in case.

That's actually not a bad idea, if she ran under something she would for sure 10000000% come out for bugs lol.
My yard is 98% safe, on the far side there is a gate she could get through and on the big side there is a drain through the wall (capped) she might could get through. My biggest worry though is the hawks and falcons that live near by. The falcons have actually tried to get my ferrets before and have circled me when I've had my dragons out before. That's why I use the ferret nation cage when I leave them out unattended. There are neighborhood cats that can get in the yard also. With the cage anything small enough to get in is just going to become a beardie snack lol.

Edit: This is Ruby enjoying some sunshine also 🙂 ..... just for the sake of posting a couple pics of her 😁😁

Ruby is gorgeous! I'll keep this thread going and post a photo of Foxy from a recent walk. He's sunbathing in his playpen (we have hawks and falcons too)

I love those pics, he looks so happy with himself 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
The real sun is so good for them. My guys are always more active after a good ole sun bath, I'm guessing most beardies are 🙂
Yes, you are right. This summer, after sunbathing, Foxy had a great appetite. He was never interested in berries, he did not perceive them as something edible. So, after sunbathing, he decided to try berries for the first time. In the end, he realized that it was very tasty, he tried blueberries, wild strawberries, raspberries and black currants. We found out that his favorite is wild strawberries. Of course, we give them to him as a treat and after that he "brushes his teeth" by eating either arugula or roaches.

I've had trouble getting mine to try berries also. The same results though. After they try them they like them lol. They are just like lil kids. 😄😄
