Zoomed light bulb question

Hello, I just found out I can’t find zoomed 100 watt heat bulbs in the us anymore. Is this from the ban that recently happened in the us? Is there any heat light bulbs that will continue to be available in the US? Will uvb tubes continue to be available? I keep trying to look it up. But, I find it very confusing. Another question I have is if the zoomed 100 watt basking bulbs ever expire? Because I have some old ones that work. Thank you!

I think they're still being sold, did you check Amazon, Chewy, Josh's frogs, pet stores ? If you have old basking bulbs that work , yes you should use them. What's the difference between your heat bulb and basking bulb, is one the tight beam ?

Hello, I checked Amazon, chewy, petsmart, petco, and pet supplies plus. They are normally always available at the pet stores. And when I look it up, I saw that zoomed claimed that the 100 watt bulbs, along with 14 other bulbs, were banned. I found the bulbs on Amazon. But, it seems like they don’t make them anymore. There was only two listing and they weren’t from zoomed itself. My heating bulb and basking bulb are the same. I just used different words for some reason. Sorry about that. I use a 100 watt zoomed basking bulb. And then for uvb I use a 10.0 t5 ho 24 inch tube. Thank you very much!!!

I also can't get them in Chile anymore (since about 9 months ago). Reptile supplies are hard to get by here, but
at least before there were some once in a while. Since then, no more.
As a replacement, I have a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) and a LED which is not what should be used, I know, but I can't make those basking lamps magically appear in the stores here... and this at least makes light and heat despite separately and I put them next to each other.

I found some Zoomed 100W in other countries like Germany, and will get them from there soon (but that won't help you as I need 220V and thus looked for that voltage).
Maybe you can find some from other companies, don't know if e.g. Arcadia has some? (I can't get Arcadia here at all.)
Another option for replacement could be heat lamps made for chickens, but it must be the clear glass type. Most have a red glass, this is not to be used with reptiles.

Regarding UV tubes: There was no ban on those, but only on the coil ones which, however, are the ones that just shouldn't be used as likely dangerous for reptiles. The long tube ones which should be used are not banned.

Ok, thank you so much!!! I’ve been looking at alternatives to zoomed as well. It seems like many companies didn’t get affected. But, zoomed did. Arcadia has a bulb that added color. Because color bulbs aren’t banned. And I believe Exo terra are still for sale. And they look similar to zoomed to me. I have also heard of using a CHE and LED as a substitute! It is also good that there won’t be issues with uvb!
