Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to extend a Zilla Power Center? It’s a 4 foot long cable and I had it plugged into a long surge protector to the outlet but the timer doesn’t work like that for some reason. I know absolutely nothing about electrical so I thought it might be good to ask first before trying to DIY it.

It's unusual that the surge protector being used essentially as an extension cord would have any impact on the function of the Power Center. But MAYBE there something about the surge detection fluctuations on power levels and the electronics. I'd say consider a simple 3-prong extension cord. On Amazon, I've always had good experiences with Cable Matters cables (whether power, video, or networking).
