Has anyone ever tried zilla's prepared beardie diet? I have no intentions of feeding it by itself; Loki will still get all of his dusted crickets and his veggies. It would only be used for a little variety in his diet and as an emergency source of food. Sometimes we get snowed in during the winter and can't go anywhere for sometimes as much as a week. I thought it might be a good idea to have something on hand, just in case something like that happens.
I haven't used that brand before (the stores around me carry the repcal pellets) but you may find it helpful that those pellets are all red - many dragons are more attracted to that colour, at least initially. I think the prepared food pellets are a great idea for adding variety and as an emergency food source in case you can't get them their regular diet for whatever reason.
Mine won't touch them. We doubted that she would, but we thought we could try (in case we had to leave her home alone for a few days).. but no.
I just feed them to my crickets now. They love them and it's the only thing I feed the crickets now. I figure that if they are 'scientifically formulated' for the beardies, then it would be the best stuff for the crix. I plan on seeing if my future dubias will eat them too.
