My Zilla ate a tiny tiny piece of paper towel...I should have took him out of his enclosure while I was cleaning up his poo... Because he likes to chase me and boop my hand and tries to go after the paper towel...today he did just that went after the paper towel and ate a really tiny piece of paper towel...I am freaking out...should I be worried...
I already put more water on his salad and I do have baby prunes and baby pumpkin food already on hand...

Odd are very very good that he will pass it or it will disintegrate in his stomach esp if it is tiny. He most likely wont pass it right away..it has to have time to pass through his digestive system. You can feed him smaller quantities if you want until it passes through.

It'll pass just fine, I've had that happen a few times. 🙂

I should have known better cuz he likes to run at my hand and boop it...and since I've been cutting his bugs down...he's been a little extra... usually I can just slide him across and by time I'm done he comes back...but not today...🥴🤦🏼‍♀️
Once they decide to do something or EAT something it's about impossible to change their minds lol. And they can be friggen quick when they want to be!!!

I fed him a hornworm tonight after work for a little more hydration...And I'll do a smaller salad tomorrow...

Hello,

He should be just fine & will eventually pass the piece of paper towel through! So many of them will quickly eat something off of the floor & by the time we realize it, then it's too late!

I agree! My dragon hasn't eaten anything he shouldn't, but even a dragon not prone to that licks things. My dragon licks a lot if there are things that previously weren't there. I bet if there were a small piece that easily sticks to his tongue when licking, he'd swallow it even if not attempting to eat it in the first place. I bet a lot of "dragon has eaten something" accidents happen that way that something simply sticks to their tongue when licking it and they cannot get it off.
