I would love to hear what foods (especially live foods) that you always like to have on hand to feed your young hatchlings. Anybody out there using lateralis?
Hi well our babies range from 4-7 days old now and they are trying their greens here and there no real takers as of yet. I use collard, mustard, and turnip greens. I have tried squash again no real takers. As far as the feeders go they love love love the minimeal worms (Tenebrio obscurus), baby crickets and small silk worms. The second they see them they are gone. Some are still a little freaked by the crickets but the two worms everyone has eaten no problem. I get the silkies from Mulberryfarms.com, as well as the crickets. The mini meal worms I get from http://www.minimealworms.com although Mulberry Farms now carries them. I just ordered 2,000 silk worm eggs from Coastal Silkworms as their shipping prices were better. This is the first time I have tried to hatch the eggs and raise them. This is our first clutch to hatch with 2 more in the works. So I needed something price wise that won't kill us. I know a ton of people breed the roaches but I can't. Hope this helps
