Hi I just got Yoda yesterday. He is at least 4 months old. When I first brought him home he ate 2 super worms and a piece of carrot.Today he ate one worm early this morning and hasn't ate anything else today. I have put crickets in there and another super worm. He has some collard greens in there as well.? He has pooped so he isn't constipated.
Sometimes it does take a week or two for them to fully adjust to a new home.
Can you run over your tank setup, such as the type & brand of UVB lighting, the temperatures, substrate, etc for us?
Do you have any pictures of him too we could see?
Hi. I just wanted to say do not feed him super worms as those are hard for babies to digest and can cause impaction. Babies have a kink in their system until they are 16 inches. Better feeders are crickets, dubia roaches, Phoenix worms, silk worms and butter worms. No feeders bigger than the space between their eyes.
The temp in his cage reads 98 in his basking area.He is in a 75 g tank. The cool side reads 78.His humidity level reads 10most of the time after i mist it goes to20.I have paper towels on one end and a stan matt the other end. Both lights or on same side. I can't remember what name brand they are but pet co recommend them. I'm going to go get the one you guys talk about alot here tomorrow. He acts fine. Very active. I would love to post pics but can't figure out how.
That's what I am hoping. All last night he stayed in one spot didn't move at all. I woke him up this morning and he acted like he was wanting out. Trying to climb out. Still wouldn't eat.Maybe it will change unless he is lonely and I need another one.
No, another bearded dragon in his tank will not make him feel better. It will in almost every scenario just make him feel worse. Bearded dragons are solitary creatures and do not generally socialize with others of their kind in ways other than territorial or mating.
Your Beardie is likely still stressed out from moving. I saw that you had another thread where you posted some info. You should also try uploading a picture of your beardie and your tank.
You can upload pictures here: https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/
And then you can put them in one of your posts by pressing the XIMG button when you go to make or edit a post.
