Thats a wide hole type it can sit on top place a piece of basking decor directly underneath 8-10 inches - make sure you change your bulb out in approx one year I recommend 10-11 months

I think he likes it! We are probably going to need to move his taller log forward. Excuse the poop mess, I need to clean it and cook it in the oven tomorrow. But his basking lamp is more over the back spot, so unsure if this will all work. Will measure it shortly.

If you cant get the basking light and the UVB together that is fine - you can always set another basking light behind the UVB in the middle of the tank for him --- I see a coil -- your not using that are you?

Do you mean the dual coil that was his original UVB lamp? No I have that turned off since we have the T5 now. Is that correct?

The basking lamp is on the left and is a 150w bulb.

yes get rid of the coil --- you can also have the UVB fixture sit vertical on top as well --- just as long as he can get directly under it 8-10 inches

But I can still use the heat lamp side of the whole thing correct? (Because we have the Zoo Med dual heat lamp/uvb set up). But just leave the uvb coil light off?

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
