150 butterworms arrived today from Linda's!!! Lizzy snarfed 10 of them one right after the other and then went back to his nap. I wonder if he'll wake up tomorrow and think it was a really nice dream ? I love, love, love butterworms and it's been awhile since we've had some. I like the way they look and smell. So much nicer than the crickets or roaches!
Have you tried one? I love butter, and if they have a buttery taste they might be good on a cracker. One of the reviews on Amazon for the Mini canned crickets (which my lizard won't eat, but turtle loves) stated "these are great on a cracker".
where do u get ur butterworms? i would love to try them. well 'I' would not want to try them but i am sure Puppy and Kitty would love them. lol and are they ok for babies?
I got mine from Linda's Gone Buggie, but Mulberry Farms and others sell them. Linda was having a sale last week when I ordered.
They are pricy, but they make a great treat. Like twice the calcium of other feeders, and I like dealing with them better than crix or some others. Also, they keep pretty well in the fridge! And they SMELL good!
So an added bonus of butterworms: Lizzy took his bath Saturday morning after feasting on butterworms Thur. nite. I put him in the tub and stepped out of the room for a second and when I came back, the smell of butterworms was quite strong (not that it is a bad smell). He'd pooped and the poop smelled strongly of butterworms! Who could not appreciate good smelling poop?!
hahhahahhah ooo i have to try them! My Baby Kitty pooped while i was holding him (usually poops in bath) so this was a first and WOW did it stink!
Butter worm poop smell would be a treat lol
