Hi there! I was wondering why my Bearded Dragon has wrinkly skin. He hasn't had it in the past, and he's not shedding. I heard that wrinkly skin can signal a lack of water, but right now his staple is hornworms, and his poops, as a result, always have a water around the actual solid stool, so I don't think he's dehydrated. He's not in shed either, any other reasons that you can think of?
Heres some pictures of what he looks like with his wrinkles.
Hi there, wrinkly skin is not always a sign of dehydration at all. Most dragons will have saggy skin at some point simply because of the fact that their stomachs can expand to hold such a large volume of food, then shrink a bit when they're not so full. The wrinkly skin = dehydration is just misinformation. You can always offer water via syringe or spray bottle directly on the snout for a drink if your'e concerned , too.
