My beardie will be about 2 1/2 months old in december when i need to travel 300 miles to my parents.
I was thinking about taking the beardie with me but am concerned that it will affect his health. I would keep him warm on the way up and travel at night so he will sleep.
If it is possible I would need to get a temporary home any suggestions on that front.
We would be travelling back just over a week later.
Thats my problem everyone is scared of feeding him bugs & I am just worried that something might happen if he is not cared for properly
Do you know if there is anything he could survive on along with veg instead of crickets, i live in the uk so cant get phoenix worms
southampton reptiles offer a 'holiday' for your pet when you go on holiday. I'm not sure if this is unique to them, but its a thought. i often see different reptiles there.
My dragon, Tatsu, moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Albuquerque, New Mexico on a three day road trip in the summer with just a small travel tank, his water bottle, a travel basking light, and some supers. He was fine. I would not have made the trip in colder weather, with him, though.
Then in December of last year, we moved with three adult beardies from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Dallas, Texas. The weather was more mild than the midwest winter, which is why I felt comfortable moving them in the winter out here. They all traveled in travel tanks overnight with their towels and no basking lights.
Every one of our dragons is fine and healthy. You can take them on long car trips. My boys are living proof.
