So this summer I've found worms just like superworms in my yard and garden.
I didn't feed any to my dragon, but I wonder since their not native to my area where did they come from?
To my knowledge no worm or larva native to my area looks like that.
A couple years ago I did drop a container of super worms outside and it opened.
If I missed a few could they really have survived and bred in my yard?

If the environment is right they definitely can survive outside. Especially if they had a decent food source.

Post a picture of them maybe we can identify. Unless you positive they are superworms.

Hi, they seem to have all gone into hibernation or something now.
But I did find one in my basement, and it was definitely a superworm.
I have not found a bug guide that shows the larva, so I don't know for sure that what I saw is native or not.

Look up wireworms, they are the larval form of many species of click beetles. They look like mealworms, not as big as superworms though.

I've never heard of those before, but they do appear to be what I've seen.
Odd that I never saw them even once before.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
