Why not calci-sand?

I agree with all of the above posters. Even my hermit crabs don't like the calcisand. It clumps so much they can't even dig in it! When wet it is more like cement than anything else. I think sand of any type is a mess to keep clean anyway. It gets everywhere and when you have to switch it all out, it is a huge pain. If you look in the "Do-It-Yourself" or "Enclosures" section they have awsome ideas for decorating your viv. I like the idea that you can switch things around easily and cheaply with tile and non-adhesive shelf liner. I use tile under the warm side of her viv so she can keep her nails trim but I have a couple stacks of non-adhesive shelf liner under her blankie on the cool side of her viv because it is cushy and foamy kind of like a mattress. I know she likes to sleep on it since she always goes there at night. Play around with it! I think it is great fun re-decorating the viv every now and again. :blob5:

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
