why is she digging?

I just finished building four 4'x2'x2' enclosures for my 4 dragons and my 1 year old citrus immediately started diging...and diging...and diging...ok you get the point. Her enclosure has what is sold as white sand as a substrate...its really fine and uniform in size. She dug constantly for about 2 hours and only stopped when the lights (on a timer) shut off. I added a 2'x4' in orded to handle more depth of sand and threw in another 5 gallon bucket of sand and she loved it. Im completely green as to how and when females lay eggs as well having no idea how to spot a female thats gravid. Hearing this story is it possible she is wanting to lay eggs or is she simply enjoying being reunited with the sand after several months on slate? Pls give me some input as well as some questions...I love my beardies and REALLY want them to thrive and be happy. Thank you VERY much in advance!!!!!! :study:

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
