the animal control officer said she would keep me updated but the guy finally answered my txt saying that he was waiting to hear from some one. hopfully the officer will be able to get to him before he sells this poor thing to someone that doesnt know what to do

Morgan, I am so glad to hear that you contacted the authorities about this poor little guy. I was just heartbroken when I saw his picture.
I do hope they are able to get him. Please keep us updated as to what you hear from animal control and thank you for taking the time and caring enough to do something.

Thank you for sending animal control over there. It's not the money thats the issue, its the fact that the owners treat these animals like pet bugs when they really need lots of proper care and attention. I honestly hope its not too late for the poor creature.

Hey guys, the person he is waiting to hear from is RowenJade, or Jessica from this forum. I was working with her to help this poor thing and we are trying to get his address/info so we can contact a rescue shelter in the area. I'm currently talking to a reptile specialist in the area. The "owner" lives in South Whidby and you need to take a ferry to get there, its not mainland

Please pm me so we can figure out the best way to help this little guy. I can text Jess and tell her to tell him she's not interested and then maybe he will release the info to you??

I've just seen this thread and I am so shocked at the ad and photo. That poor, poor beardie I can't believe anybody in their right mind could think that's a healthy animal! Absolutely disgusting and I hope that someone can get hold of the poor thing before it's too late. I feel a bit jealous that i don't live in the us, if i did maybe i could help but i'm all the way in the UK. Please update everyone so we can know what's happening!

He was saying last night to me that he wanted to give my number to his mom so that she could give me directions. I said I just moved to Seattle from NJ so that explained my area code. I am waiting to hear from the mother as we speak but I'm not sure how this will go over if someone could text him and say that they're from the island, then maybe he could give you the address for your GPS. (or that's what you would say) and then report the address to animal control. I'm just going to keep in contact and keep showing interest so I can hopefully get their address and immediately contact the authorities. With the way he looks, I wouldn't say he has much time so everyone keep trying everyone keep interest I haven't said anything to him about the way his health looks. (I have definitely restrained myself from doing so) and am currently working up the trust so that maybe I can get the needed info. That would be soooo cool if you could get the number traced and find out that way because while I knew South Whidbey was on an island I thought there would be a bridge so I didn't say I lived there. Sorry I screwed up -.-

Keep trying tho for this little guy hopefully he pulls thru and the owners are served justice
