im back from the vet and he confirmed that he hasnt been feed or given water in months. they wernt able to get a blood sample hes just too dehydrated. so they gave him fluids calcium and vitamin d. im supposed to keep giving him the rept a aid mixed with baby food and if we dont see any improvement in the next week he says it would be best to put him out of his misery. 100$ for some liquids ugh

Over a month?!?! OMG. You should send the vet's statement to the ASPCA (If you still want to involve them that is...) because there is NO WAY that they can just write that off. And send it back to the people you rescued him from too. Wow.

I sure hope he pulls through. He has improved a little since you got him, hasn't he? Fluids are better than nothing I guess. Hopefully you can get blood work done soon. Did you get him tested for parasites?

I just had an idea. They told you when you bought him that he was healthy, and charged you $100. You can take them to court with the vet's statement and try and get the money back for the vet expenses AND have them face animal charges. If you don't want to do this please send me a copy of the vet's statement thru email or something. I want to see if there's any way I can start a petition with this information and send it to Whidby Island police. I'm rooting for Rocky, I really hope all this goes well for him and he finally gets the life he deserves. We'd all be so heartbroken if he passed. In the meantime I'm willing to do all I can to bring that stupid kid and his mother to justice. He shouldn't have had to suffer that way and people need to realize animals need to be FED. UGH!! *rant over*

Oh poor Rocky! I was wondering if he was too dehydrated to get blood taken.
I certainly am more than happy to hear that he took some of the CC off the syringe. That is definitely a good start.
I hope you can get him turned around. I would hate to think he might have to be put down. I do think he is a fighter though.
Maybe now that you have him more people will start donating.... [fingers crossed]
