You can mix the pedialyte 1 part to 3 parts water and then use that as the water to mix with the Rept-a-aid. The only thing about the pedialyte is it only last 48 hours so what you could do it sterilize an ice tray and fill it with pedialyte. That way you can take one cube out a day and use it. Works wonders. Don't worry about any proteins right now. You can wean him back on those later.

iv never used pedialyte before so this is all new to me :lol: im sure he thinks im a monster right now he wont lick it off his nose when i drip it on so i have to open his mouth and force feed him

Be careful force feeding any liquids... he could aspriate (sp) it. Best to just find what he will lick readily and add the pedialyte to that. If you nudge his mouth open so he gets a taste maybe he will like it.

I'd just pull the side of his lip down a bit and put a little there by his teeth, that should get him to lick his lips and he'll probably even like it! When I first had Lagu on Reptaid XL that's what I did and now when he's on it and he sees the syringe coming he will actually even jump to get it, at least if he ever gets sick I'll have a way to trick him into eating baby food!

If you feel like you need to be more forceful you could go ahead but it seems like he still has the will to eat just may not be hungry. Are you keeping track of how many ml of repta-aid/babyfood he is getting? That way you know if you should force feed at all. If you do decide to force feed it is best to get some type of canula or an actual feeding tube. You said your seeing the vet tomorrow though so I would wait until then. They can even show you how to do it. It's actually pretty easy once you learn. Not as hard as doing it to a seahorse I can guarantee you that! The vet is open on Memorial Day?

I wasn't getting updates either but they were going into my junk the whole time. Strange as I have been a member for 2 yrs.
