I was debating on where to post this question and I'm hoping this is a good start. Layla has layed 4 clutches, last one being on 5/17. All clutches were great and babies have been healthy (22 just hatched). Her last clutch was weird and from a past discussion on here it seems that she needed to have even more calcium and vitamins than the extra I was giving her. I say weird because the eggs were small, 2 were smooshed together, and a couple were see through. I just went up to check on her becasue she usually eats like a horse and latley has been slowing down, I'm hoping this is because she is not producing anymore eggs....I found next to her bowl movement, an old dried up egg. Is she going to be ok? Do I need to do anything for her? I gave her a warm soak and she was just very calm, not like she usually is. I'm worried and need some advise. Thanks!
Do I need to worry about anymore inside her? I think that may have been her last clutch because she has cut her eating in half. I have been dusting her crickets with calcium and vitamins which I give her 24- 3 times a week. She gets the same dusted on her mustard greens, squash, and apples daily, and I also put it on her meal worms, twice a week. Would this have been from the clutch laid on 5/17 or could this be from something she just produced?
Keep an eye on her for the next few days. If she's retaining anymore eggs, them breaking inside her can cause serious health issues. If you think she is still retaining some you can have a vet do an xray to find out.
