Hello, I have my new adult bearded dragon in a 75 gallon tank, ive had him for less than 1 week, he is around 16 inches long. I have 2 24" reptisun 10.0 on my tank and 1 48" reptisun 10.0 on my tank as well as a 100 watt powersun. Cool side is around 85.0 temp according to my temp gun and basking spot is like around 93.0-99.0 depending how close he is to the light, or what part of branch he is on climbing toward light etc. My question is, is this ok? The temp 93.0-99? or should I try to get it to around 105-110 or so? Please let me know, all advice would be appreciated, also is 85 ok for cool side? thanks!
85° is perfectly fine for the cool side. The basking side is okay at around 95, but I try to keep mine near 100. As long as he is getting the rays he needs and he is healthy, I wouldn't worry too much!
I keep my basking area at 105 with a smaller hotspot around 115. I try to keep my cool side below 85 but it gets up there sometimes and it's been fine.
That's a lot of UVB lighting, are you using a meter? I'm curious how you have it arranged and how well it's working for you?
