Hey everyone, I noticed today Lenny had this weird thing what looked like it was coming from her nostrils. She has been showing some stress marks the past week or so, and eating a little less as well. She is just shy of 4 months old. Temps are 105-110 in the basking area and low 80's on the cool side. She is currently housed in a 40gb on slate tile. Diet lately has been a mixture of reptis, supers and crickets. Last I checked she was 16inches and 239grams. She eats mustard greens daily as well, but I am in the process of making reptis a permanent part of her diet. I have also noticed some of her live feeders are coming out not completely digested as well.
Here are pictures of her nostrils. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that her head is shedding as well?
To me it looks like it could possibly be dried mucus but I don't have slightest bit of a clue. Tomorrow I plan on bringing her in to have a fecal done and a general check up. It will be a new vet though so I am nervous because I had to move, but they say it is just walk-ins instead of appointments
Happens to our beardie everytime he sheds around his face and nose. There must be skin inside the nostrils that shed too. Our beardie Izzy always seems relieved when it's finally ready to come out. Not sure if it's the right thing to do or not, but I help it out when it gets to that point. and Izzy is like "OOH!, That's feels better!" when it comes out.
I don't really see anything in those pictures that seems off. Does she have any other symptoms? Popping noises, blowing bubbles from her mouth, etc? The last picture just looks like a piece of shed to me although I could be wrong.
You said she is only 239 grams at 16 inches. This is very thin. I have a 16 inch dragon (with a lot of health issues unfortunately) and my vet said he would like to see her at 300-350 grams. What are her bowel movements like? Do they seem fairly normal?
Well she is still rather young too, just shy of 4 months old. I actually couldn't tell you how they are just because the ONLY time she poops, is in her bath, so I can't tell much about it because the second she moves the ripples in water makes it a big mess. Tomorrow I am intentionally not giving a bath so she will go in her viv so I can take a sample to the vet for a fecal test. The onlything abnormal is the past week or so I have found a some partial or non digested reptis, supers and cricket heads floating/mixed in with her feces. I read that a change in diet can cause that, but I am having a fecal run anyway.

The only time I have heard of a popping noise is when sometimes she does the 'gulp' with her mouth shut. Otherwise when shes breathing no noises, bubbles or anything
