Agree... I'm very much into "not processed, simple ingredients, prepare it yourself".
I've seen it so often that it was not understood and people looked irritated, what problem I might have with a certain "sour cream" - no, this is not a "sour cream"... Or why I'm not buying supermarket bread and instead bake my own.
Here in America even the ingredients we buy to prepare our own food are compromised. Unless you grow and process your own food it's hard to avoid all the chemicals they put in everything now days.

I know... sadly. I was living in the US for seven years (3 years in California, 4 years in Tennessee) and it was crazy... Starting with finding flour that is not "bleached and enhanced". Salt without "anti-caking agent". And other things.

Had a lot of problems purchasing things like I wanted them. (And growing my own - I am normally used to this, my parents are almost self-sufficient - was of course not possible in a city apartment. I tried to buy, at least in Tennessee, as much as possible from small organic farms where I could be sure it's not a lie.... and bought the pure ingredients, not something like e.g. bottled salad dressing.)
Here, this is much easier to find "normal", basic ingredients and (!) this is normally cheaper.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm working on cutting carbs and sugars and getting in more physical activity.
Honestly if we would all do that, we would all probably feel better to.
I am glad you are taking steps to take care of yourself. Diabetesis no joke. It can wreck your quality of life.

You'll definitely be better off for it in the long run. I heard on the radio just this morning that in 1986 (important year because laws changed that year) that Autism was one in 10,000. Today it's 1 in 34. In 1986 there were 10 vaccines taken, today 72!!!! In 1986 the laws governing vaccines and chemicals in food were relaxed/lifted. Fast-forward and we are killing ourselves with our food.

I made a comment the other day in a pm about what I do for a living and the things I do for recreation and the crowd I generally run with.
It occurred to me that I've posted lots of photos of what I do for recreation but none of what I do at work. I thought I would post a few of that just for giggles.
This is one of the more simple units I do. But in it's day it was one of the most widely distributed units on the road.
It's the notorious 4L-slippy better know as the 4L60e.
For the record I DID NOT paint it pink, some other knuckle-head did that 😆
This is the disassembled and cleaned unit, the overhaul stuff hasn't arrived yet or I would have included that in the pictures as well.
The first coulpe pictures are the failed and/or upgraded parts.

My hand in the picture is for reference. Most of the stuff on the table all goes in the little bitty hole. Transmissions truly are a wonder of engineering.
Honestly if I fully disassembled it all at once there would be about half again as much on the table, but I do it in stages to save room to actually work lol.
That’s really cool

Yes. My older brother has type 1, so I really understand the burden it can be. Along with that both of my grandparents have type 2. It's going to be (and is) hard but I'm confident that I can do it :) I have a great support system both in my family and here it seems ;)

And to think that my history teacher is currently going over "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair...

Interesting. I'm currently self-employed :D
I own a home bakery business called Heavenly Bakes :)
Our slogan is "Where every dessert is divine!"
I'm working with my dad (who is in IT and also knows how to code) on making a website :)
I plan on going to college and majoring in business and minoring in culinary :)

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
