I searched for a bunch of different key phrases in the forums already but I felt like there was conflicting information, that or I just don't understand the differences between them.
And somehow there are 100 other options but those are the only ones I can really pick out. I've read that you don't want the full spectrum and that you do, that you want the bulbs with the yellow hue but they need to be bright white... :?
Ive asked a similar question before and someone on here told me you want a bulb thats "clear light" or "natural light". No soft light or tints or colors. Hope this helps.
Agree, it is confusing. It appears a lot are using the DuraMax (Phillips) indoor R20 Flood. I am planning on using the 30W in my new 4x2x2, when it arrives.
So I want a light bulb with no coating whatsoever? The ones where you could hypothetically see the little wick think if you wanted to go blind trying?
I'll see if I can find the floodlight you talked about. I had gone to the dollar store and got the only lights they had (soft white) but even the 40W is too much so for the cool side of the tank and the 75W was too hot for the basking spot so I'll need to make another trip to the store anyways. I have a couple 60W but they were the full spectrum lights and the bulb itself had a blue tint to it...
