I have 2 6 month old beardies, they are great and I love them both very much, we've had them since very little and at that time we kept them together, about a month and a half ago we gave them there own homes but still they would hang out together for what I called play dates. Today I put the smaller beardie in with our bigger what we think is a male beardie to hand out. the smaller one was running around checking things out then started to wave and our bigger beardie bearded and looked pissed!!. What does this mean? Was are bigger beardie mad because Cash was in there? or do they just do that? I would like to know if they were going to fight too. Thanks
This is a normal reaction.
Your female was waving in submission and your male was behaving in a territorial manner. Was he head bobbing or bearding?
Either way he was trying to show his dominance.
If you are going to let them have "play dates" I wouldnt let them into each others vivs. That really could end in violence if one beardie feels like their territory is being invaded. Their vivs need to be for them and them only.
Keep meetings to the bathtub or floor if you'd like two happy healthy dragons.
