I know everyone has different tastes, and that sand of pretty much any kind is not the best substrate for beardies, but what do you prefer to use? For babies, juveniles and adults alike?? What is the best inexpensive substrate you've used??
i dont have a beardie yet, but from reading so many posts, the best would be newspaper, slate tiles, cupboard liner, reptile carpet without the fuzzy holes and stuff. Newspaper being the cheapest and easiest.
I am on sand at the moment but switching to tiles. The sand gets in my boy's food when he runs around so I am making a switch. He has been on Sand for 2 years now. I might make him a sand box though.
Us too. We had leopard geckos so all we had was the sand, but I'm thinking of switching over to an outdoor carpet or something. I don't like sand and my husband insists on it. But I figure, I pay for most of what we get, so we're getting what I want LOL
I prefer reptile carpet it's not too expensive and it comes with two so when your beardie goes to the bathroom on it you can just take it out and put it in the washing machine and put the other one in! It's so easy.
