Is it about mid 50s to mid 60s in Indiana this week? I'd bring a large tupperware container and a plug in ceramic heat lamp that can clamp on to the side of the tub. That way, you can put your beardie in for a warm up or if he gets stressed out. You might consider putting a favorite blankie or even one of your own tee shirts in the tub along with a hide to calm your beardie. I wouldn't feed him until you get back from the meet 'cause if he's too cool for a couple hours it could cause improper digestion..... or a belly ache at the very least
Keep the heat on in the car, tuck the little booger under your fleecy jacket on the way inside, and I think you should be just fine! Have you travelled with your BD before? To the pet store or outside in the summer? Be prepared for some escapee action, if not. It takes some beardies a while to acclimate to the great wide open blue that we take for granted up above
He goes out side in the summer. so I know how he act.
I was just showing up with him, but I think the light thing would be much better than the hand warmer thing. I will as my pastor if its ok if I bring him.
A light is obviously the best option, but when I need to transport my babies we use the "dragon mobile"
Here is Ruben modelling it for you:
Its a flat hamster enclosure I found at a charity shop for a couple of pounds, with a fleece on the bottom, then a half filled hot water bottle, then a blankie over the top.
I use this for all my vet visits which mean he's usually like this for about 3 hours.
Remember not to fill the hot water bottle up too much though or you will have one hot dragon!
Its better to have a little and ask to use someones kettle for a top up if it gets cold.
Aw, he is so cute and your mobile kind of reminds me of the incubators they have for babies at the hospital. I like how it is clear so he can see out. It's like he's traveling in a bubble.
