The vet said Nova probably has another 2 or 3 weeks before she'll most likely lay her infertile eggs. And I'm worried about her scratching and digging. She does it all day long, but the issue is when she jumps out of her sand box, she goes to the corners of her tank, or will be up against the wall where her sandbox meets the wall, bury her nose in the corner and just scratch incessantly. To the point that she's pulling up the first layer of scales, and cracking and breaking the light tan part of her nails, the back part, I guess.? If that makes sense.? I haven't seen any bleeding and they don't seem to really be bothering her but what in the world do I do.? Let her scratch and Crack her nails.? I have another glass tank I can put her in, during the day but it's only 10g and I feel like that would stress her more. How can I help prevent her from completely ripping her nails out.?? The tip of her snout also looks... bruised, almost.? From all the pecking and tapping at the glass and pressing into the wall when she scratches, i guess, but at the same time, it may be shed, her face is starting to. I just don't know blow to help her relax. We tried a bath, but while in the water, she keeps trying to dunk her head. Her nails are a bit worse off today, as far as the broken and cracked in the back part, but this is what she's doing to them from the scratching.

I doubt that there is any way to change her behavior. So if you still have a couple weeks of it, maybe consider temporarily switching her substrate to sand, or excavators clay, ect. I know it's a lot of work cleaning it back up after, but it might keep her from breaking her nails 💅 🤔

She laid three eggs, but is still digging and scratching and last time we were there, the vet said she had a bunch of eggs. She's absorbed them in the past so I don't know how many she'll lay. So, she's only laid three, if she doesn't lay anymore, how long should I wait before bringing her in to make sure she isn't egg bound.? The eggs she laid look good, but I just don't know. If she doesn't lay anymore in the next 24 hours, should we take her.? By tonight.? Dreki always laid hers right then and there so I just don't know what to go off of.
