Omg I hope that isn't the case.
He is to sweet, and you guys have been through much. Can you get him on your insurance plan?
I believe so, i dont see why not, but it takes a minimum of two weeks, up to 30 days, and they may pre x what's going on with his nose entirely. And the stupid insurance is changing and completely ****ing us. They covered up to 80-90% and 10k a year, now it's 50% and 3k a year and they're the only exotic insurance here. Ughhhh I can't do this anymore..

I really need to get insurance on my guys. The vets are insanely expensive. They take advantage because they know how much we love them.
Even human doctors are the same. Christina fell and broke her are 3 weeks ago. The bone specialist sent her to get sized for a "special" arm brace. It was 635 dollars out of pocket. They were stupid enough to let her see the size and named brand before telling her it was 635 dollars. She immediately looked it up and found the exact same one on amazon for 55 dollars. Needless to say, she told them exactly where to stick it and offered to help them shove it there.

Holy hell 600$ for a special arm brace.?? I've never heard of that for just a broken arm. That is crazy, I hope she's doing okay so far.🖤

She is thank you 😊
That's so good, I'm glad. It's crazy they tried to pull some crap like that.

I can't make heads or tails of Fury's situation. When he's asleep, he doesn't do the puff/open mouth thing and I feel like he doesn't do it as often when he's in his tank, unless he starts running around or something. I hate it because he's so damn sweet, I've never seen a baby so trusting and clingy as immediate as Fury has been and it's been maybe two weeks.

Yeah I've been surprised with how docile he is. All the hatchlings I've had have taken work to tame. I think Fury is gonna be some kind of special.

I really do, too. I'm really hoping it's not something like cancer, I don't know if we can afford to properly care for him if it is and I freaking hate it. I feel so bad for the little guy

Hello,

I hope your dragon is doing better! Has the breathing at least become more normal I hope?
I agree, it seems like insurance for exotics is more than it is for livestock or dogs & cats. It
honestly isn't fair at all!

It really hasn't changed either way. He doesn't do it when hes asleep, that I've noticed and I swear he does it less when hes in his tank, but I could be noticing it less. We're doing critical care and repashy as meal replacement to get some weight on him, I can feel his hip bones.😥😥 so, hopefully he'll gain really soon. He holds food in his throat, I think, and that mixed with not being able to breathe well, he just doesn't wanna eat. She doesn't know what that fleshy bit is, but is a bit concerned. He's still super active and alert and just chills in his spot when he's not surfing the glass somewhere. I hate it for him, he's so damn sweet.

Im giving him critical care and repashy. But he wont eat the gel, i dont think. Can I give it to him as a liquid, like before it solidifies.? Like i would critical care.? Like, it doesn't expand, so it shouldn't be a problem right.?

I haven't used the Repashy personally so I could give accurate advice on that.

Soooo, good news. Ish, at least. Fury had gone from 34g to 27 in less than a week and the vet wanted him on critical care even if he was eating, which he hasn't been. The breeder said repashy is better for weight gain, so I've been doing both. Two days ago, it was about 1ml of critical care, the next day, about .5ml and yesterday was about .75ml of repashy. AND he drank some water yesterday. AND ate two roaches yesterday, too. AND he ate FOUR worms today. Enthusiastically. FOUR of them, two supers and two hornworms. And as of yesterday, he weighed 29g at the vet and 30 at home. So, we're making a little bit of progress.😊😊
