So my beardie is 4 Months now and he’s Ben fine exept when he started shedding a few weeks ago he didn’t eat for quite a few days, then would eat one bug at a time and yesterday and today he’s stopped eating all together. He’s also glass surfing ( or just jumping up on the glass door and scratching whatever that’s called) and I’ve read that’s it’s cause he’s stressed. The tank is big enough it’s a 4x2x2 and the scratching can’t be because he’s hungry cause I offer him food everytime he does it. There’s also nothing to do with mine and his bond cause he falls asleep on me every night. As well as this he hides quite a lot and isn’t basking. Some changed have happened in the tank recently tho. Can someone help as to why he might be stressed out and not eating?

Please go over the UVB what your using and where it is in the tank --- basking temps should be 105-110 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer NO stick ons they are inaccurate place the probe on the basking spot where he sits to bask 10 minutes or so get the temp --- this is a sign of lighting being off I am thinking but we need to start there

I’m using the Arcadia t5 12% and it’s diagonally over the basking spot to mimic the sun. The probes are digital there’s one on hot end and cool end. cool end is 25c and hot end is 33c basking spot is 44 c using digital thermometer gun. I’ve ordered a dimmer thing and it’ll arrive tomorrow and it’ll be able to keep the temps and the right numbers. He’s been way more lively today since I got this new bulb (todays the first day using it) he’s had loads of salad and 5 locusts which is much better than yesterday.

Ok is there a reflector on the UVB? Or is it just the bulb ? This is extremely important along w/ distance and placement -- is it in the tank? and distance from the UVB to the basking decor piece it should be directly above it

Yeah there’s a reflector, and is 12/13 inches away I think. However since I got that warmer bulb he’s back to normal today!!!

Wow I haven't logged in for years. Hi!
So to any reading this, how on earth do I post a thread 😅 New here, possibly too old for this

I have questions about bubbles on our bearded dragons eye.

So he’s gotten bubbles on his eye. We wiped them off and it’s only been twice in the last few weeks. Should we be concerned? No coughing or congestion. He’s very hungry and sleeps well. He’s 8-9 month range. His humidity is 30-40 day time and as high as 50-55 at night to early morning.
Should we be concerned?
