Hi everyone. I have tired to research photos of unhealthy/healthy beardies, but none have really put my mind to ease as to how Ridge seems.
Please review the photos and I would appreciate input. He only came home from the pet store less than a week ago, has been eating regularly, fecal was perfectly normal. He has both a Reptisun 10.0 light and a basking light leaving temps in necessary ranges.
Hi there....he / she does look on the thin side, but not too bad really. Looks alert and if he's eating, that's a great start being as he is still acclimating to a new home. Try giving feeders once a day one day, then twice a day [ about 5 hrs. apart] the following day. In other words, live food twice dail every other day. That helps put on weight more quickly. Also, be sure to give the standard greens....mustard, turnip, collard and dandelion. Are there little bite marks around the top of his eye ? He looks to need a bit of soaking as well.....but, he doesn't look too bad, and with that tail, I think I'd name him Bob.

The bite mark comment definitely through me off! Which picture do you notice it in? ...he appears to be fine looking at him in person though. I tired to get as much history from the store as I could about him...but their only information was who he came from and that he was probably 2-3 years old.
I've definitely been trying to help him a long with the shedding...giving a bath every other day but nothing has seemed to help him yet. With the amount of animals at the store he's from, I highly doubt he ever got soaked or helped along in the process.
The ridge above his left eye just looks a bit odd in the first pic....just may be a tiny scrap of skin. As far as shedding, just keep up the baths every other day and it will eventually come off, not a big deal.
