I've been updating a lot of the server software... mostly security and bug stuff that is all behind the scenes. I need to reboot the server in order for some of the updates to apply. I don't expect the outage to be for more than 5 minutes or so, providing the updates didn't cause any issues I wasn't expecting. I'll try to target this for being around 8 PM PDT or so.
So, if you see the server as being offline a little later tonight, you'll know it was just me, and that I am aware of it. No need for emails (which actually wouldn't get to me since my email is on this server too).
Okay... I tried one more thing which is producing some annoying DEBUG messages. I'm working on correcting that. Things seem functional for now... just have to deal with that annoying output for now.
I'm not sure what you mean by the quoting system being different. I didn't change the forum software. These issues are because I tried to update PHP (the language the software uses). Maybe it's behaving differently due to the other bugs.
Still working on it. I may have to fall back to an older version. Lame, as I need to be on this version to prepare a more full upgrade of the forum software too. *sigh* I just want to find a way to suppress the errors we're getting, but it's not paying attention to the commands that are SUPPOSED to turn off that error output.
