My 18m old male dragon has been brumating the past couple months. I wake him every few days to eat/bask/poop and sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. Today he pooped and it was very watery and had a tiny streak of what looked like blood. He also acted like he was struggling for the poop part. His diet consists of kale/dandelion greens/ carrots and celery (through a food processor finely chopped) and acorn squash (boiled) daily but not always all at once, fruits on occasion. I have Dubia I offer daily but he doesn't always eat them since he has been brumating. He has a UVB strip that goes across his whole tank and also a MVB for his basking spot. Temps are 105-110 on his basking spot and down to 70-75 on his cool side (he only typically sleeps over here) his middle section averages 80-85. I worry about impaction but wanted to get others opinions.
Thanks!!
This can be somewhat common, if they strain a bit to go to the bathroom. His urates though, don't appear to be hard based on the picture, is that correct?
Which supplementation are you using?
Your temperatures sound good & his diet is great also.
Which tube UVB are you using & how old is it?
His tube bulb is a 36" t8 reptisun 10.0 and his mercury vapor bulb is 125 watts I think...both have been bought within the past 2 months...urates are not hard at all
