Whenever I give my beardie a bath, he loves dunking his head under the water, and it seems tons of water must be getting in his ears...It doesn't seem to bother him, but I just want to make sure this won't cause him any health issues in the future.
If you look at their "ears" you will see a scale that covers the ear canal. This prevents water from getting inside. I think it's called the tympanic scale or tympanic membrane, but I'd have to go look up what it's called for sure.
Okay, that's what I thought I always saw a small little membrane covering the hole for his ear, so I figured that must be protecting from water getting in I just wanted to make sure!
