Where can I buy water crystals locally? And what exactly are they called/look like?
Some links/pictures would be appreciated
I tried the Google Search, but only came up with online buying.
I tried to go to Flowerama's today, they said they ran out and sent me over to Michael's.
At Michael's, they showed me a kind of fake water gel. All it does is hold silk plants in place and looks like real water.
I decided not to buy it (obviously).
You should be able to by them at any pet store, they just look like mini jello cubes, ive seen yellow, orange and blue ones before, flukkers is the only brand that comes to mind that makes them... if you google image search cricket water jell there are 5 picts in the first page that comes up... a bottle of it and some yellow stuff beside a cricket... thats it.
Oh sorry, forgot to mention, I heard of people making their own, and that's what I was looking for. Seems expensive to have to keep getting the little jars.
Ive heard of that too... ive heard people use agar agar flakes... i think for a grocery store?? and other then that at grocery stores i know you can get stuff to make jams and jellys and stuff, im not sure what its called but that should work...
they are also used as a conditioner for soil to retain water reducing the need for watering. most garden centers such as at lowes or home depot may carry it as a product called Soil Moist.
I got my water crystals from https://water-sorb.com/store.php. I purchased the medium sized crystals and they work great. It is so much better than purchasing a large bottle of Flukers (not that I am taking anything away from them), but this works for me.
Thanks hartungs. That seems like a great deal, but unfortunately, I don't have a credit card, and my dad doesn't really trust online orders, so I'm stuck looking for everything I need locally.
Although, if there's anybody in Utah that would be willing to order them for me, shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out.

I wish I would have known the name of it. I went to Home Depot AND Lowes and asked for water crystals for potted plants and they all looked at me like I had two heads. They claimed to have never heard of such a thing. I finally found some on line.
