I am looking to get a fecal done asap, but my newer baby has not been eating a whole lot. Today she ate 1 cricket and 2 wax worms, this is about average. She is 2 and a half months, 5 and a half inches and only 6 grams. Temps 106 hot, and 85ish cold. UVB brand new. She is in a 20 long, and her substrate is paper towels. Will not eat greens. She is active and alert, just does not eat. Any advice you could offer would help greatly.
Now, every time she has pooped for the last few days, it has had this orange spot in her poo. or urate. I cant tell exactly. I put a sample in a ziploc, however, and then I realized that only the orange section has a texture similiar to wet sand. It's grainy. Could this be parasites? Has anyone seen this before? And can it contribute to her not eating, and slow growth? Thanks!
She is very cute!
Which UVB are you using for her right now?
That stool looks pretty normal. The orange graininess can just be something she ate perhaps or just part of the urates which can sometimes get tinged or stringy.
What has she been eating, just the insects? Where did you get her previously & was she possibly on sand? That could be the other thing, passing sand through perhaps if she was housed on sand before you got her. How long have you had her?

Reptisun 10.0 is the bulb, the tube one. And just eating the insects, and not many. I got her at a reptile show on May 31st, and in the bin thing she was in they had shredded paper bits, and I think she was only a week or less old. She was 4 inches at the time, and 4 grams. So she is growing but VERY slowly. Not eating any greens, no interest in them. She wont touch dubia at all, wouldnt even touch mealworms which I tried out of desperation (atleast she would have eaten SOMETHING) Only seems interested in a couple crickets a day.... like 2 or 3 at most. And Wax worms, which she eats up to 4 daily, which I know they aren't great for her but she won't eat anything else willingly too often. She eats crickets, but she actually acts like she is scared of them in a way. I have had 2 beardies before and never once had a problem with them eating like this.
Very worried about parasites because her appetite is so low. So I am sending in for a fecal today, to get that worry cleared up x.x
