My beardies, Simon & Sonji, stay on the warm side of their habitat 98% of the time unless they are eating. At night, they lay on the floor of the warm side around the UTH even though I've provided hides on the cool side. I was wandering if I should get one of the small UTHs for the cool side. The cool side never drops below 70.
No sounds like they are acting normal. In fact I would not use the UTH since beardies can not feel heat on their bellies like snakes can, they can burn and develop serious health problems.
Also it sounds like they are in the same enclosure? As they grow watch for dominant behavior, a male will bite and kill a female in the same cage as they mature.
