As long as I've had my beardy, she's had an obsession with running against walls. In her earlier glass tank, the assumption was her reflection or some other stress causing glass surfing. But it doesn't matter whether she's in a 20 gallon, 200 gallon, or a 20ft by 20ft room... When she's active, she decides to run against a wall.
Does anyone else have this?
UPDATE: she settled into the corner of the bottom shelf on my bookshelf.
Yup. Had to put Z in a bin while cleaning out his enclosure today. He spent the first half-hour trying to dig/climb out of one particular corner.
Einstein allegedly said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result (or something like that). So are beardies insane? One could be forgiven for thinking so!
Since their eyes are pretty much on the sides of their heads, I gotta think their depth perception isn't great. Monocolor walls may present a problem for them (BICBW).
I've attempted to solve this by putting her in another area of this 21ft by 13ft room that she is currently residing in, but she favors the one corner/4ft of connected walls in either direction. Surprisingly, the bookshelf is not in that corner though. Im surprised she's okay sitting 2ft from a 10" sub playing music.
