Yes, the floor is tiled, I got some loose bark cover because it seemed like the tile was getting awfully hot (slate), so I tried to keep it all around where the basking light hits, I know its not really reccommended, but I didn't want to get sand, I figure these chips seem big enough to deter from eating them :). The light is 6 inches away from the log at least... im trying to decide if I am going to tweak the position still :) [/QUOTE]
