Very unusual urate/poop

Hello, I am away at college and my parents are looking after my beardie. They said he hasn’t been for a poop in awhile so I gave him a bath and he had pooped out this. I am really concerned as the urate is completely solid and there is this pink stuff? If you look closely it looks like tiny little dots.
Any advice/help??

Solid/dry/chalky urate is usually from dehydration. Get some water into him and see how he does.

Thank you! He went for a poop around 2 weeks ago but my parents said he had been sitting in the same corner for a few days and i noticed he seemed a little dark in colour but now he’s passed the hard urate he seems a lot more alert

If the poo has been in there for awhile, it's always gonna look a little weird. The discoloring could be from a bit of over supplementation though. Nothing bad, just a little sign you can look out for.

thank you so much Brandon :) Is there a specific supplement that would cause this? Some people have said too much calcium could cause this.

Hello,

I agree, a lot of times, their urates become hard, chalky & discolored if they haven't gone to the bathroom
recently. Is he on loose or solid substrate right now?
Most of the time it is oversupplementation or something in their diet that causes that consistency also.

He is currently on loose substrate (mix of play sand, soil, coco fibre and excavator sand) but he has a two story tank and he spend all his time at the top at the minute so doesn’t come into contact with the substrate much. How many times a week should beardies have calcium? Thank you :)

Hello,

Ok, be sure he isn't ingesting any of that loose substrate so it doesn't
impact him.
Adults on average, do need good quality calcium 3 times, weekly, 4
max. Babies & juveniles need calcium 5 times weekly & 6 max.
That isn't written in stone, but a mainstay that most go by.
I hope he is doing well!
