My male is 3 months old and has a great appetite but this morning he's not eating, laying in the bottom of the tank, and seems very limp. When I put the crickets in he never moved and my female was running all over him. That's when I knew something was wrong. I put him in a nice bath for 7 min and then back in the tank and no change. I don't know what's happened. He doesn't look bloated and his belly is soft. I tried feeding him meal worms so he's not chasing anything. That's also not working. Help!

PLEASE seperate him from the female ASAP. Beardies are not social and should be in their own enclosure. Also, meal worms are not good for them and can get stuck in their GI. Go over set-up/pictures as well. Impaction sounds likely.

He pooped this morning. I'm thinking more along the lines of ingesting a piece of poop or dirt maybe. I clean the tank often and normally they only eat crickets and some leafy green that's torn into small pieces. He could've even gotten into a chemical. They are big enough to be out of the tank most of the time and they are.

What substrate? POsting a pic would really help! Also, the coil one is no good. The tube reptilesun is much better. The coil doesn't let off enough UVB, and can cause MBD ( metabolic bone disease) and eye problems.

I'm using a repticon UVB light. The coiled one and I have separated them and he's on a brown mat.

brown mat? Craigslist is a great plact to find a cheap cage for him. I would reccomend taking him to a vet.

It's a reptile mat and most of the time they are getting real sun so I don't use the light often. They go outside every day

A reptisun 10.0 tube is best even if they go out. How is he doing now? Can you post a pic ASAP!!!?

Also, what are the temps? How much are they eating a day ( exactly)? Others will ask the same questions I am.

I have several tanks which is why I was able to remove him immediately. The mats are nice and they are cleaned often too. I'm going to take him to our local reptile store and see what they think. They are awesome and extremely knowledgable and if they don't know at least they can tell me where to go.

Any knowledgeable store would reccomend a reptisun 10.0 TUBE not coil and not reccomend babies live together.

They eat 20 crickets each a day and a tablespoon of a leafy green two days a wk. temp at night is 75 and day temp is 100. They have the option to go to the other side of the tank or go below where there's less light or no light. My tank is massive!

Babies should eat as much protein as possible 3X a day. It's often 50-100 crickets a day. What thermometer are you using? The basking temp should be around 105 for them. Mealworms are almost no nutirtional value also. Not sure why so many stores try to push them.
