o-goncho has a very calm personality. he doesn't react to much, but still is alert and healthy. ive never seen him arm wave or head bob.when we first introduced him to one of our cats, he just stood there, letting sage sniff.the only times hes puffed beard up was one time in the bath. he no longer eats veggies from my hand like he used to. it seems like he save all those yummy greens for a midnight snack. hes always calm, when we first got him he must of been the most stressful BD ever.he doesnt like heights much if he doesn't feel secure, he will flatten out and whip his tail around in circles. a sometimes if im handling him hell run around probably cause hes hungry.he does get black beards though.
Generally beardies are very docile lizards. He was probably a nervous wreck when you first got him because he wasn't used to his new surroundings. He is completely normal.
My male was exactly the same. He could have cared less about anything, even bath time (which he doesn't like).
Ever since I introduced a female to the household his hormones went haywire. He has tantrums all the time now, black beards at the slightest thing that he doesnt like. Slaps his tail and makes a ruckus in the bath. Head bobs & black-beards randomly. Everything but gaping. This new hormonal teenage stage was brought active practically the day I brought Cammy home. They can't even see eachother in their tanks but they still know they are there. I have a feeling that If he was still the only one, he'd still be the lazy, carefree boy he was before.
im not entirely sure hes a guy,but he has like, 14 pores and maybe slight signs of bulges.is there anyway to get him less bored about every thing besides another beardie? TY
