I will start giving him insects today. About 15 insects per feeding 3 times a day. I will dust them once per day 5 times a week. Can he get too much calcium? i will sprinkle a little bit of calcium on the 15 crickets and hopefully that isnt too much
Only dust the insects lightly and ONE feeding -- also please start on salads -- Nutrition Content ignore the kale info its outdated -- please get some vitamins w/ beta carotene and dust insects ONE feeding lightly coated 2 x per week -- you may need to get him some BSFL www.symtonbsf.com they are a great staple feeder for him drop them on his salads for a lure to the salad bowl -- https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d--
these are small larvae -- how old is the dragon and please post a pic of him

One final question. I see some black spots on his head and tail. Looks pretty weird. He had that in the pet store aswell. Just wondering what it is. Its kinda shriveled where the black spots are on his tail i would say.

He is thin for a 6 month old dragon -- I recommend you add the BSFL -- you can feed them on the salads and a compliment to the crickets -- I would switch that to dubia roaches - they are more filling and a cleaner feeder - a lot easier to take care of -- get a 10 gallon aquarium some dubia food and dubia crystals for hydration - feed what you feed the dragon fruit and salad stuff dont feed carrots to both the dragon and the roaches too much Vit A and you will end up w/ orange poop -- I would order around 200 roaches get the size appropriate for him - look on the the websites chart www.dubiaroaches.com and get the roach no bigger than the space between his eyes -- rinse your salads before serving he will get moisture from the greens and also feed the insects at night that is when they eat so the insect is good a gut loaded before you feed in the morning --

Yeah he is thin, they didnt feed the bearded dragons much at all at the store. I saw them just throw in around 6 crickets when there was about 4 baby bearded dragons. I will order dubia roaches today and water crystals :)

Post a better pic of the area / s in question
It was hard getting the perfect photo. I have no idea what this is or what causes it. Im pretty sure he had it when he was in the pet store.

Ok I see a pinch keep.an eye on it doesn't look like it's turned black so if it does dip the tail in raw unpasteurized honey that's gonna kill infection - no crickets in the tank - they will go straight to the tail- it may fall off eventually -

I forgot to post the picture of the dark spots on his head, he also havent pooped yet but im guessing he will do that very soon. He change spots pretty often, to the log to get uvb and then sometimes to the basking spot where it is around 95 - 100 degrees. He do close his eyes when basking pretty often and heard that was bad, not quite sure. He had his first dubias today and he loved it. Thanks for all the help yet again. :)

I cant tell what that is --lets have AHBD take a look see if she can see what it is--- closing of the eyes is common when basking -- he will eventually poop if everything is on par w/ temps and his UVB -

The temps and uvb is good, he is crazy when its time for food and seems okay but its just those dark spots im worried about. The uvb is 13 inches above the log and the temps there is low/high 90's. The temps overall is good.
