UVB Placement Help? ASAP

No it can be either or your dragon will go to the light he needs just make sure you have correct distance- and if your screen is fine mesh it will need to be inside the tank - distance for screen type is also a factor

I do have a T5 bulb, can’t those go on top?

Depends on the screen - the T 5 will not fit in a T 8 fixture the bulb is too skinny- T 8's are fatter

I didn’t mean to draw it like that, my drawing isn’t the best on computer. Mine is an Arcadia T5 HO D3 + 14% 24” bulb.

Ok how tall is the tank?

I prefer the way 2 is, I think the heat and uvb overlap better that way. But many people have their set up like 1 and have no issues.

Or at an angle in front of the heat bulb, it might give more uvb coverage.
