UVB lighting distance from basking

Im confused of the uvb lighting distance from basking area where I believe my beardie would spend most of the time? Please help!! And I also read reviews of people saying it should be 12” and if you read in the back of this bulb it states at least 6” and then 18” so what is it? I am using the sun blaster lamp with it.

I try to have overlap with the uvb and basking so my beardies can have either/or, or both. They will move into the area they need.that bulb is a t5 so 12 to 15 inches (if unobstructed)

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
