I'd say he's about a year or so - how tall is the tank? Dimensions please-- I would take the water bowl out- they don't usually drink from it unless you have actually seen him drink from it- the uvb will ship before xmas if your ordering from pangea-- also you want 2 digital probe thermometers- get those now- the basking temps are incorrect if your getting them w/ the stickons- they give ambient temps only

I have a temp gun. Works perfectly. When I got him he was TINY I doubt he is a year. I got him in August. Tank is 12 inches tall. He is standing beside the same log in both photos. A medium creature hide.

Basking is usually 100-109 is my temps. My house gets cold so sometimes the basking is 110 or 111

Ok! Let me change the temps. Whenever I get the tank and uvb I’ll contact you to help me set up.
Dont change the temps till you get the digital probe thermometer--- thats going to tell what he needs - if hes under 6 months you want surface basking temps 105-110-

Hi there, nice looking dragon :) I agree he is probably about 6 - 8 months old or so. For taking temps. just one digital thermometer is fine so you already have that, you check the basking spot temp. [ and nearby ] then you can place it on the cool end to take that temp.

You can save money by getting any bowls from a Goodwill store or Walmart. Pet store bowls might look cute but they are expensive if you're on a budget. Most basking stones + logs can be gathered from outside , so no need to buy those. Logs/branches [ don't use pine or sappy wood ] can be disenfected by putting in a preheated 250 F oven for 45 minutes, but be sure the wood is not touching the heat coils. Rocks can be washed in very hot water with vinegar + a little dish liquid, then rinsed with very hot water and allowed to dry.

Ok! Ty. I can’t bake the wood so is there any other option? Also I’m getting him a 120 gallon. Idk how to decorate. 😭😭

You want a substrate like the Zen Habitat mat they sale or some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank - these are easy to clean- are you looking to get stuff outdoors or buy from stores? You said you cant bake the wood-- why? You want a hide big enough for him Pet Smart sales them or dubia roaches has a X large hide - NO mesh or grass hammocks they cause nail and feet injuries -- if you get a hammock you can find them on Etsy made out of fleece or cloth -- then you want decor for him to climb on and getting distances for your basking decor -- also slate gets very hot if used under basking lamps - bricks are hard on the feet and stomach -- the decor I use are made of resin and easy to clean -- they can be washed in the sink and I use F10 on them to disinfect -- any loose substrate in the tank is hard to clean and harbor bacteria

This, and: I had seen that insects escape those "looks like stone" worm dishes that are even advertised as worm dishes. I bought it in the beginning... is now used for anything but insects :D

As a bowl for salads, a small one made for humans like an appetizer bowl or saucer works well.
As a worm dish, my "best ever" one is the lid from a "American-style candle in a glass" where I removed the plastic insert and cleaned it well. Deep, worms can't get out because of the slick glass, and still wide enough that even my adult dragon gets the insects out. I would guess that a small porcelain cup like for mocca works as well.

For the wood: What I did (have a full-size oven, but my dragon's branch is hu(uuu)ge, larger than the diagonal of the oven, and won't fit in) was the same as for stones, so brushing with vinegar and letting it dry for a few days. In case there are "woodworms" inside it might however not kill them. But I bought it in a pet store (who kept the branches outdoors for I-don't-know-how-long) as I can't gather any wood - we live in a city in a desert without natural vegetation.
Otherwise, I had also gathered some branch(es) outdoors. Stones are from outdoors, however, that's easy here ;)

These are some ideas I was looking for, he is a bit small so I have tons of space to work with. I ordered a zen habitat mat and it arrived. Ima put it in the tank when I get it. Stones and branches are expensive so I’ll try to find some good pieces. Please post ideas you have.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
The head tilt tho! Aaaahhh
