Edited to add: They found a mass in his intestines at the vet today. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge and has come home
Taz was diagnosed with a URI concurrent to mouth rot on 6/27. We did a week of enro injections and he was really perking up. Yesterday he asked to go outside and I took him for about 20 minutes or so. He took a bad turn last night. He is black bearing and having obvious distress breathing. This morning I thought he had died. He had voided in the night, but he did crawl out of it. I couldn't see him breathing, but qas smart enough to wait. Gave him a luke warm bath to wash him off and he took a big breathe when his belly hit the water. He was much colder than he should have been for the room temp. Right now I see peaks of his orange color coming through the black, but his eyes are severely sunken. I called the emergency vet, he will be seeing his vet today

I am sorry to here about Taz -- the outing he had was probably too much for him - :(
What is the humidity in the tank and how are you getting it? Stick on hygrometers are not accurate-- what kind of UVB are you using? coil or a long tube fixture ? His ambient basking temps should be around 80 at night to keep his immune system up -- how is the mouth rot doing? Is he eating?

We are at emergency care right now. I use a halogen uva/uvb he's currently on critical carr and slurry and we've been fighting to keep humidity below 50% in a heat wave. He on goes in the vivid at night. During the day he has a vet approved set up with uv and extra heat if needed

Halagon UVB / UVA ? Is that a Mercury Vapor bulb or also known as MVB? What brand please -- your humidity at 50 % is good as long as that is being taken w/ a digital probe hygrometer--
