Someone please help. My boy has been having hard urate, and seemingly A LOT of it. He eats veggies and gets a couple baths a week. I try dripping water on his nose but he almost never licks it. I mention this because I HEARD hard urate might be from dehydration, just not sure if there's any truth to it. Also he is on pancur for pinworms if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated
Chalky urate can mean dehydration. It's possible the meds are causing a bit of dehydration which isn't unheard of. I'd just keep offering him water as you've been doing. I've had good luck offering drops on the nose like you're doing. If he needs some extra water he'll lick at it.
